Found a pair of gorgeous old armchairs on the side of the road. One was completely eaten out by termites.. Three hours of amateur carpentry (which included such whiz bang technology as the "flattened beer bottle lid with a nail at either end" and the "stick from the garden wedged in at just the right angle") later and voila! A pair of sexy new reading chairs for me :)
